About Me
What are your dreams?
My dreams are to embrace my creative being and get on that stage and dance, dance as if it is my last day on earth. Dancing is extremely close to my heart, my heart aches for it everyday. My dream is to inspire and empower children to express themselves through dance in any form they wish. Children have always been an inspiration for me. They are amazing, beautiful and wise beings. My heart breaks when I see a child not smiling. A child needs to smile. They have bought joy and love into my life from a young age. I want to make a difference to the education system. I would love to see an education system that focuses on children's dreams and passion's instead of 1,2,3's and the a,b,c's. I want to see a world where children grow up to be powerful and courageous beings who never give up their dreams. Every child deserves a chance to shine.

What skills and talents do you bring as your gifts?
My talent is to express myself through dance. Ballet, contemporary, Greek dancing and salsa. I feel a talent of mine is leading a courageous life, I lived a life of drugs and alcohol and it was tough to leave that world. Ever since, I get thrown challenges my way I feel a life without a challenge is a boring one. I view myself as a loving and compassionate friend. I have learnt how to truly love people and to love someone you are completely prepared to knock them over the head with a pan and tell them to grow up. When my voice is used clearly, concisely and powerfully I am heard. What I have to say is heard instead of being confused in the mix with umm's, like's and arghs.

What work do you dream of doing?
Owning my own dance studio/child care centre. All children are accepted and the aim is to harness the children's natural gifts and talents. It will be a safe and friendly place where children and families can go.

Who are your sources of inspiration?
First and for most, my mother Helen Rigopoulos. She has demonstrated courage throughout my entire life. She has taught me to be who I am. She has taught me how to be free in my dancing. My teacher Sonny Navarntnam. When I first met him, he was someone who I couldn't believe a human being existed. My source of inspiration is young Olympians. Olympic champions who at the age of 18 have broken bones, faced their fears and mastered themselves to be an Olympic champion. They just blow me away. To see human beings as young as they are living their dream is moving, touching and inspiring. In saying that, my ex- boyfriend Julian Brattoni. He is a pilot and I know for a fact that he could of given up his dream at any moment but he kept going, he knocked those walls down and powered through. At the moment, he has a job at V Australia as a co-pilot. He is a man who never gave up and continues to challenge himself in every way possible.

Tell us about your achievements in your life
Achievement in my eyes is not tangible. I can't measure achievement. My achievements are facing and confronting my fears. My fears of being my true self. I was completely stuck in a world where I worried about what people thought of me and as a consequence, I was being someone else. It was exhausting. For a very long time, I was merely an act, an actress on a stage for the world to see. I woke up from that show and entered life. Never looked back ever since.

“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.” - Paulo Coelho. "Just do it" - Nikey “There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle.” - Deepak Chopra
